Peeta Mellark 15 Day Challenge: Day 5 -Romantic OTP(s)
“I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now, and live in it forever.”
“Stay with me?” “Always.”In my mind, when it comes to Peeta, there’s only one person he could be with. He’s loved Katniss since he was a child, watched her grow up but never had a chance to say anything. He’s helped her the few times he could, but other than that, he’s admired her from afar. Then he’s reaped, and sent into an arena to fight to the death against the girl he loves. He protects her all he can, and by some miracle, it appears as though she loves him too. Everything seems to finally be going right for Peeta, but it was all for show. (IMO, Katniss did have feelings for him though) This poor boy, not even an adult yet, had his heart ripped to shred by the girl he’s loved all his life. His life then gets even worse and the girl he loves is torn from him and he’s forced to believe she is the enemy. In the end, his life will never be normal, but at least he has her. After years of waiting, he finally gets to call her his.
Everlark is my OTP of OTPs. They’ve been through so much together, and no one could possibly understand everything except them. Everything finally fits when they’re together, and nothing could make me think otherwise.
Now excuse me while I go get a bucket for my Everlark creys.
usually I don’t like canon pairings, but these two are lovely, and I really do love them together. I also love the fact that peeta is your average Joe, your typical nice guy. y’know, nice guys are always lamenting the fact that they never get the girl. well they do. you just gotta wait for it.
